About

JoAnna Hazard, MS, RD, CSO, LDN started Hazard Health to help those living with cancer find information they can trust. After hearing from her cancer patients about the difficulty they had in finding qualified nutrition advice in their home areas she did some research and found that presently there are less than 800 dietitians that hold board certifications in oncology nutrition (CSO) in the United States. It's no wonder they could not find help! JoAnna is one of the few who specialize in this area of nutrition and is on a mission to help those win the ultimate fight.
JoAnna Hazard is a Registered Dietitian (RD) who holds a Master of Science in nutrition and dietetics. She has practiced nutrition for over ten years in a variety of settings, but found her passion while working at a major cancer center in Philadelphia. While there she obtained duel board certifications in both oncology nutrition (CSO) and nutrition support (CNSC). This added training allowed her to independently manage people who depend on tube feeds and IV feedings (TPN) to stay strong during cancer treatment. JoAnna is an active member of the academy of nutrition and dietetics and is a member of the oncology and nutrition support practice groups. She has presented both nationally and internationally on the topics of health and wellness as it related to cancer and has made multiple media appearances to do the same. After acquiring a certification in culinary nutrition, JoAnna started providing cooking classes and lecturing on simplicity of using real foods in daily life.
